Born in Nuremberg, Germany, Bernd Stittleburg immigrated to the United States in 1955 where he grew up in Rockford, Illinois. He attended Rock Valley Community College then worked in the field of mechanical engineering. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Janesville, with an Associates of Science in Business Administration degree.
After moving to Sturbridge, Massachusetts in 1983 he earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration from Clark University in Worcester, MA. In 1993, Stittleburg completed post graduate work in paralegal studies where he received the West Publishing Merit Award for outstanding scholastic performance.
Stittleburg graduated with honors from John Marshall Law School Atlanta in 1999 and was a staff member on John Marshall’s inaugural law review publication entitled “The John Marshall Journal of Law and Ethnic Relations.”
His legal career began in the consumer bankruptcy field with Berliner Law Offices in Springfield, Massachusetts. In 1995 he began working for Galler and Ginsberg P.C. Continuing his relationship with Jonathan Ginsberg, he joined Ginsberg Law Offices, P.C. in 1997, where he managed the bankruptcy department prior to going out on his own in 2004.
In 2004, Attorney Bernie opened Stittleburg Law Offices, LLC, where he currently assists clients with Chapters 7 and 13 Consumer Bankruptcy cases, Small Business Bankruptcy cases and Uncontested Divorce matters He also helps clients draft Wills, Living Wills and the Georgia Advance Directive for Health Care.
In 2008, Stittleburg completed training in Collaborative Divorce. He has also lectured as an instructor for Half Moon Seminars and the National Business Institute regarding bankruptcy. He was invited to speak at the LawReviewCLE in April 2011 on Chapter 13 Bankruptcy: Completing Petition and Plan. In December of 2013, Stittleburg was engaged as a speaker at a two-day National Business Institute seminar on bankruptcy.
He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Atlanta Metro Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys Group, and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys.
