Attorney Bernie
Born in Nuremberg, Germany, Bernd Stittleburg immigrated to the United States in 1955. He grew up in Rockford, Illinois, attended Rock Valley Community College, then worked in the mechanical engineering field for a number of years. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Janesville, with an Associates of Science in Business Administration degree.
In 1983 he moved to Sturbridge, Massachusetts. There, he earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration from Clark University. In 1993, Stittleburg completed post graduate work in paralegal studies where he received the West Publishing Merit Award for outstanding scholastic performance.
Stittleburg graduated with honors from John Marshall Law School Atlanta in 1999 and was a staff member on John Marshall’s inaugural law review publication entitled “The John Marshall Journal of Law and Ethnic Relations.”
He began his legal career in the consumer bankruptcy field with Berliner Law Offices in Springfield, Massachusetts. In 1995 he began working for Galler and Ginsberg P.C. Continuing his relationship with Jonathan Ginsberg, he joined Ginsberg Law Offices, P.C. in 1997, where he managed the bankruptcy department prior to going out on his own in 2004.
In 2004, Stittleburg opened the Stittleburg Law Offices, LLC where he currently assists clients with Chapters 7 and 13 Consumer Bankruptcy cases, Small Business Bankruptcy cases, Uncontested Divorce matters, drafting of Wills and Trusts and assisting clients with personal injury matters.
He has also lectured as an instructor for Half Moon Seminars and the National Business Institute regarding their respective bankruptcy programs. He has a current speaking engagement with LawReviewCLE in April 2011 entitled Bankruptcy 7 & 13: Completing Petition and Plan. In September of 2011, Stittleburg is engaged as a speaker at a National Business Institute seminar entitled Bankruptcy Implications on Other Practice Areas.
He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Atlanta Metro Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys Group, and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys.
